When the immigrants come to the United States, they face many obstacles. These obstacles include adjusting to their new surroundings. The adults had to quickly find new jobs which did not earn them a lot of money. People like Beatrice, who was a maid in a hotel, often worked long and hard days but still had trouble providing for her family. Also, where the immigrants were placed were normally rough conditions. Many of the children were not allowed outside because of danger. A vast majority of the immigrants did not speak English either so when they came to the US they had to learn the new language. These are just a few of the many obstacles the immigrants faces when coming to the US.

There are many obstacles immigrants face when coming to the United States. Many adults have difficulty finding jobs, but when they do it doesn't pay nearly the amount they need. Beatrice, and many other immigrants, worked long and hard hours and could barely make ends meet. As more immigrants came in, neighborhoods started going bad and children were rarely allowed outside. Many immigrants were placed in areas with other immigrants who prosecuted them in the first place. These obsticles, along with the difficulty learning English, are just a few that immigrants coming into the United States face

The immigrants faced many difficult obstacles when arriving to the United States. To start, many of the immigrants had to learn the english language so they could talk to people. They also needed to find money, but the jobs they got wern't paying them enough. Lastly, as more and more immigrants came into the US, they began to be put their own in communities together. This created rough towns that were dangerous to be in. The immigrants from the book "Outcasts United" went through many obstacles when moving to the United States.

Some of the difficult obstacles that immigrants have to overcome are learning the language that everyone else speaks around them. They need to find jobs to support there families while they live there. When they first get a house or apartment they wont be in the safest spots to live in. They had to adjust from living in one country to another. In Outcasts United the immigrants had to overcome many obsticals that were in there way.

Major problems they are facing is getting jobs and a good place to live in. Like Luma it was hard for her to get a job, but she started her own resturant and still has a soccer team. Even having a job for immigrants, the jobs don't usually pay much. Also when you immigrant to the United States you only 3 months to get on your feet and for immigrants it is hard to get a nice good paying job. Beatrice had to work basically full time to support her children and herself, so that was difficult.

  7. I think that when immigrants come to the united states they face alot of obstacles. It is hard for them cause they have to learn english and completley start over in a new country from scratch. So i think the hardest obstacles for them would be getting a job and a house to start off with.

Since day one, immigrants have been faced with many challenges. Stereotyping towards immigrants like when Mexicans come to America affect the jobs they have and the money they make. It may be illegal in some cases, but people who own big businesses don’t allow "certain" groups of people, like immigrants to work there. So in conclusion, the more major obstacles immigrants face is the stereotypes people put on them.

Coming to the United States forced many obstacles on the immigrants. First off, they would have to learn English to get a job, and battle things such as stereotypes. Next, the money they make will be minimum wage because they have just entered the country; they may not even be able to have a stable household or a stable income. People like Beatrice worked very hard, yet it was barely enough. Parents got worried that their children would end up learning from the bad influences that were brought into their neighborhoods. It was a fresh start for them; which made it so much more difficult being in a society where they may not be wanted.

  10. Immigrants face many obstacles in new countries. Some are unable to gain the right to work, so some do so illegally. Others cannot find their way around the town they choose to live in. Both of these things happen to Beatrice Zaity in chapter 2. She is unable to work legally so she is a maid at a hotel illegally. The work is hard for her and she has long hours and often has to stay longer. Also on her way home she is easily lost and doesnt know exactly where to go. I'm sure these a problem for many immigrants. They just have to get used to their new setting.

  11. When the immigrants came to the United States some of the obstacles they faced were quite diffcult. For example the adults found it hard to find jobs, like Beatrice she had to work very hard from sunrise to dusk working as a hotel maid. While she took care of her children, when her job barely paid anything but just enough to make ends meet. Its just as tough for the children as well because its like they dont have a life, they can't go outside, they can't make friends because they are inside cause of the danger that lerks around the corner.

The major problem immagrants have coming to america is adjusting to america itself. They'll have to find jobs, get places to live, and learn to speak english. First you have to find a job, thats hard enough, but you also have to find a job that pays good enough for your needs. Those are only the begining of the hardships they have.

When coming to this country immagrants do face challenges that some over come and some are still stuck with problems. They have to learn the language, know how to get around, and learn a different way of life. For instance in the story immagrats have came over to the united states for varies reasons. When Luma came over she had to leave her friends and family behind. She learned the language fast and was able to keep up in school. After college she had to learn how get a job, pay or things, and stay on her feet. Another one also came over and she had to find a job, and try to get by everyday. It was challenging at first but after awhile she figured out how to use te bus and get back and forth to work. It is not easy for immagrants. It is tough and sometimes they have no one to help them get by. So yes it is difficult for them and they face many obstacles along the journey.

For anyone living in a foreign country, life will be difficult. The hardest struggle would be language and communication. I could only imagine how hard it would be for me to try to communicate with people in a place where I cannot understand anything they are saying to begin with. For example, Luma did not know what the cultures and the language in America were. She had to learn those, and I can imagine it was not easy. She did not fit in with many people because of the fact that she was foreign. However, Luma learned to adjust quickly. For some people this is not as easy because Luma was smart to begin with.

The immigrants from outcasts united were faced with a few challenges along the way. A lot of people looked at them as different, judged on their ethnicity and their background. So it was very hard for them to fit in. And hard for them to feel fit in. They also had to learn English so they could get around easier. Some obstacles they might face is violence, and not being able to raise their family very well. Like taking long jobs, and not seeing their children very much.

After coming to the United States, the newly immigrants faced quite a few obstacles. The adults had to find jobs for themselves, which weren't the best paying jobs, since they didn't know much, if any, English. One person, Beatrice, worked hard, long days on a low income. The parents started getting scared because of the not-so-good atmosphere where they were living. Like for most of the immigrants, it is probably hard getting used to a new place, but hopefully they will fit into there new communities soon.

When the immigrants came to the United States they faced several obstacles. First off, not knowing the language and not understanding is a HUGE obstacle. It wasn't easy learning the language but they did it. Another obstacle was jobs. As an immigrant it was hard to find a job, and if they did find one, it was long hours and they didnt have a good paycheck. But if it was what they had to do to survive they would do it. Hopefully the immigrants will soon settle in and fit in with others.

There are many obstacles that immigrants that come to the U.S. have to face. One is that they may not speak english like most of the U.S. does. They will have to learn this language to be able to function properly. A couple of the boys in the book cannot speak english so it is very hard for them. one other obstacle would be not being around all of your friends. You will miss all of your friends back home and become lonely. It is very hard to be a immigrant and come to the U.S.

  20. The obstacles that immagrants face is , they first face that they do not know how to speak english, the second issue is that they have no friends so they dont talk and soon develope being shy. The third thing is that since they cant speak english they can not get a job so they cant make money(or have a poorly paying job). Another reason is there education, its not the same as our country so it could be harder.

There are many obstacles that face immigrants when they come to the United States. They have no jobs when they first come here, They maybe do not have family with them so they have no one to associate with, and also they do not know our culture so well. A example of this is Beatrice and her Boys when they first came to the United Stats. They were not used to seeing cops, and they to me did not trust them very much at first. One obstacle they faced was when a robber told her to give her purst to him and she did and ran as fast as she could. Beatrice did not know any better and she did not know what to do. So those are the obstacles many immigrants face.

There are many obstacles that face immigrants when they come to the United States. such as they're in a differt place with differnt laws and prehaps you don't speak english like some of the boys. It's hard to get use to a totaly differnt cultureand even harder to learn a totaly differnt language.

Learning the english language is a challenge for many people. Even as a first language there are some that struggle to fully and correctly speak English. To a frightened and often starved child from a war torn third world country, learning english starting at the age of 5 all the way up to 13 might seem to be one of the easiest yet still difficult goals they had to set for themselves. The traumatic experiences these boys went through would make them stop and fade into space for a moment while in the middle of a harsh soccer practice. And those boys might be considered lucky to even make it out of the house freely. One of the soon-to-be soccer players,Jeremiah Ziaty was kept inside his cramped and poorly maintained appartment at all times. Except for going to and from school simply because his mother was AFRAID to let him be outside. Everybody was. Hardly anyone was familiar with each other and racial hatred was still felt towards other groups of refugees. The Fugees faced many difficult obstacles. And learning English was just the start of their worries.

When immigrants come to the U.S. they usually have a long term idea of being a success that couldn't be accomplished in their home country. They have a lot of getting accustomed to and may have to learn English on their own. Immigrants also go to live with family while they get started. After that they try to get a decent starting job until they can accomplish their goals.

When immigrants come to America they face many difficulties. When immigrants come to America they think its the world of opportunities. But when they came they forgot about the hard labor that comes with it. Like getting an illegal job if ur an illegal immigrant. They also have to learn the country's native language as well. Which means they have to learn english.Just like when we take a language class they have to take one too. once all of tht is figured out they still have a long way to go but its still a little easier with the knowledge they gained.

The obstacles that the immigrants have to face are pretty tough. They have to adapt to their new surroundings, meet new people and make friends, and cooperate with people that they never had met before. They have to learn English to be able to communicate with the American people. There are many things, and I'm sure later on in the book, the obstacles are just going to keep stacking up.
